BNHR Releases Poll Results of Border Residents Feeling Safe on the Border

On August 10th, Border Network for Human Rights released Border Community Security Poll and its accompanying poll results.  The report polled 1,222 residents living along border towns in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas.  The poll asked, "Do you feel safe living on the border?"  The results showed that resident did indeed feel safe, which contrasts with the perception of border towns being chaotic and residents living in fear.  The report's findings raise questions about the necessity of sending more troops to the border and spending more money on security along the border.
