March & Rally for Community Love and Power

"When I speak of love I am not speaking of some sentimental and weak response. I’m not speaking of that force which is just emotional bosh. I am speaking of that force which all of the great religions have seen as the supreme unifying principle of life. Love is somehow the key that unlocks the door which leads to ultimate reality." ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Friends and Family! Please join us on Monday January 21st as we march with love in our hearts and our fists in the air!

While injustice leads us into paths of hate, division and isolation the people of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania are building our power through unity and love. Throughout the years we have honored the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by standing together against attacks on public education, deportation and separation of families, mass incarceration, and for our rights as people to all the things we need to live our lives with dignity.

As we stare down another year of social crisis, we see clearly that we need each other more than ever. We must reform the systems that strip us of our human dignity, and undo the education of injustice that keeps us apart. We must find love for ourselves to know and demand what we deserve as human beings. And we will commit to struggle with the people and communities around us. That is how we build our movement.

The policies we work to change and the laws we influence in the favor of justice and equality is the natural progression of what truly makes us powerful. Justice comes from recognizing the power in our hearts and dismantling barriers of oppression, so we also see the power in the hearts of those around us to keep us strong.

This MLK Day, January 21st, join us, as we march and rally for COMMUNITY LOVE AND POWER. We commit to continuing this fight together in Philadelphia, and nationwide. We commit to struggle together for justice, dignity and love. Our movement for social justice begins and ends with us.
